Our goal is to make ordering a smooth, predictable, and enjoyable experience for every customer. To achieve this, all orders from Triangle Chick Hatchery are subject to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and contact us with any questions or concerns before placing your order. By placing an order, you agree to abide by these terms and that there are no exceptions to these terms. If you are unwilling to accept the terms set forward, please refrain from ordering.
ORDERING: You can place your order directly through our website, send a detailed request via the contact form, or email marygriffis13@yahoo.com. Please note that Triangle Chick Hatchery is dedicated to our flocks and our time is spent caring for them, so responses may be delayed 24 hrs.
72-HR LIVE CHICK GUARANTEE: When you order four (4) or more, we guarantee that the number of chicks ordered will be alive for at least 72 hours after arrival. If fewer chicks survive within this period, you may request a credit for the dead birds by providing an emailed photo of the deceased within 72 hours of receipt. Please note, we will replace chicks on a case-by-case basis. To ensure the guarantee, you must pick up your chicks promptly on the day they arrive; Failure to do so voids this guarantee.
MINIMUM ORDER: The minimum order is four (4) day-old chicks. If you wish to order fewer than four, please contact us directly; we may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis, but the 72-Hour Live Chick Guarantee will not apply, and we cannot override the minimum for fewer than three (3) chicks, as they need each other to ensure comfort during shipping.
SHIPPING POLICY: Orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail Express within 72 hour delivery. Delivery times are not guaranteed to be overnight or on the estimated date via USPS tracking. Your tracking number of shipped chicks will be monitored by us as well. We appreciate timely responses during this time in to ensure the safety, as well as prompt pick up of your chicks. Shipping charges are non-refundable, and in the event of a delay, it is beyond our control. The shipping fee covers postage, GroGel, chick feed, shipping materials, labor, and heat packs. Remember, day-old chicks are shipped with nutrients from the yolk sac and include supplemental feed and heat packs to aid in this transition into your brooder.
GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION AND PICK UP: Chick shipments typically go out on Monday or Tuesdays arriving within 1-3 days. Larger orders/ larger birds shipped incur additional shipping costs due and payment must be received before shipment begins. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships—please do not rely solely on the estimated delivery date, as they may arrive early. Chicks will be held as post office for pick up. Please bring identification to claim shipment. Remember, day-old chicks are shipped with nutrients from the yolk sac and include supplemental feed and heat packs to aid their transition. Failure to pick up chicks on the day they arrive voids the live chick guarantee. We encourage communication with your local post office beforehand to confirm pick-up arrangements.
PAYMENT AND TIMING OF SHIPMENT: Due to the nature of breeding poultry and waterfowl, hatch rates can vary. Your patience is appreciated. As small flocks and variable laying cycles can affect production. We do our very best to accommodate everyone, however messages of interest do not ensure chick shipment or pickup.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Plans change. Cancellations for day-old chicks must be made at least 11 days before the scheduled ship date (by the Friday two weeks prior). Cancellations after this deadline may result in a 50% forfeiture of the order total. Alternatively, you may opt for a full credit, which is valid for future orders and will never expire.
HATCHING EGG ORDERS: For hatching eggs, cancellations must be made before 11:59 PM ET on the Friday prior to shipping. You may opt to receive a credit for future purchases.
MODIFICATIONS & RESCHEDULING: For last-minute changes, contact ASAP via email no later than the Friday before shipping. Rescheduling requests within 3 days of the scheduled shipment may incur a $50 fee.
STRAIGHT RUN: Our chicks are sold as straight run, meaning an unsexed mix of males and females. We do not guarantee sex. No refunds or replacements will be provided based on sex ratio of hatch shipment.
HATCHING EGGS: Due to natural variability, fertility and handling during shipment, hatch rates can range from 0% to 100%. We ship only high-quality eggs, but cannot guarantee hatchability. We cannot initiate USPS insurance claims for viability of hatching eggs via USPS. They are supposed to guarantee insurance refunds for USPS insured packages and they do not validate these anymore. We highly suggest purchasing chicks as USPS is more tender with baby chicks than they are with eggs in boxes
